Project Description

The Client wanted the outfield to be of outstanding quality and a show piece for the MOD. The site suffered from many undulations and water staying in the hollows. Overall, the site quickly became water logged, even if there was a shower of rain in the summer time. We were asked to find a solution for the various problems.

We removed the topsoil, thoroughly levelled and graded the subsoil, incorporating 900 tonnes of sand. We then power harrowed the area to improve drainage, installed an irrigation system with a 10,000 litre water tank, and finally returned the topsoil, prepared and seeded it for a perfect grass finish.
